About Us

Alfonso Schiebel, Benefits Consultant

Al Schiebel – our comedian and our youngest member joined Braden Benefit Strategies, Inc. in 2006 as a Benefits Consultant.  Al brings with him a wealth
of experience both in non-insurance related accomplishments and as a worksite consultant for AFLAC, an individual producer in the life insurance arena and as
the “Go To” for life, medical, disability and long term care insurance with Mike Kavanagh, host of the radio show “Money Matters” heard on Sundays at AM
750 WSB Radio.

Al was born in Nicaragua and immigrated to the ‘States’ at the age of 14.  He
has a degree from Louisiana State University in Agricultural Business.  Very useful information for an insurance sales guy!  Al got into the benefits at a time when he was tired of “the job thing” and an AFLAC salesperson showed up at his wife’s place of employment.  The AFLAC person was extremely helpful with a situation that had occurred at the company, showing a great deal of compassion as he worked with the employee.  Al was struck by the ability of the rep to actually help people, to make a difference in their life, and embarked on a career in insurance.

Al has been working on the group benefits side of the business for the past 11 years and has a passion for the business and people he meets.
