There are times when an agent is not able to meet the needs of a company. The agent may not provide the degree of analysis and relative options, may not be up to date on Obamacare and the associated requirements or simply may not have a sense of urgency.
When a company finds itself in this situation, it may be time to change agents. It is not necessary to wait until renewal. This is done simply by notifying each carrier, in writing, of your decision. The letter is known as an Agent of Record and the new agent will be able to assist in writing and submitting the letter to each of the insurance carriers.
