Prescriptions used to make up approximately 32% of a company’s total healthcare expenses. Over the last few years, we have seen this percentage of the employee loss ratio climb to as high as 55 percent.

Certain medical conditions have high financial exposure which is often due to the cost of the prescription drugs used to treat or maintain the disease. These conditions include back problems, accident (with residual injury), rheumatoid arthritis, MS, cancer, diabetes and lupus.
